False Alarm

Last night we had our first false alarm, which was pretty interesting!! I'd been  crampy all night and had had cramps the night before too. It was hard to tell if there were actual contractions because my belly is so tight already because there's just not alot of room left.

At 11:15 I started trying to time the crampiness and thought they were like 8-10 minutes apart. I had a headache and my back hurt and I felt a little nauseous. So, I called the doctor and she said I was too far along to try anything at home and to go to OB Triage at the hospital. So we did and they checked me for pre-eclampsia and monitored the babies and contractions. Everything turned out to be ok. I had high blood pressure when we got there, but then it went back to normal and my tests just showed that I was a little dehydrated (I drink ALOT of water, so I don't know how that happened!!) They gave me a bag of fluid by IV and some medicine for nausea and I felt much better!

The babies were all fine. They had to bring in a doctor to do an ultrasound because they couldn't get the Baby C on the monitor without seeing her! We could see that Baby A had hiccups! All three were moving, breathing, and heartbeats were good. So we were sent home. I couldn't sleep until 5 am!!

It was crazy, but we have the practice now of getting to the hospital in a hurry and our bags are living in the car!! Dave was solid as a rock - he's going to be the best daddy. :)
